Financial Stewardship

In 2009, Pendleton Place was honored as a SC Secretary of State Angel for demonstrating responsible stewardship of charitable gifts.

Pendleton Place values your contributions and works hard to ensure that your generous gifts are used to provide a safe, stable home for hurting children.

This includes providing:

Nutritious food (3 daily meals and 3 daily snacks for each child)
Clothing (most children arrive at the shelter with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing)
Therapeutic counseling services to address each child’s unique trauma and emotional needs
Medical care through our on-site pediatrician’s office
Monthly comprehensive dental services
Abuse Prevention Education (a program that teaches children how to recognize and report different types of abuse and neglect, as well as how to appropriately handle the emotions that result from being a victim)
Recreational activities and outings to keep children active and engaged
Structured educational support, which includes assessments, tutors, educational technology, and other activities
An overall nurturing and caring environment
