It's Easy to Become a Volunteer! Just Follow 5 Simple Steps!
*Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
1. Complete a volunteer packet. You can download a copy of the application packet by clicking here. This packet includes a volunteer application, confidentiality agreement, criminal background check form, and SC Sex Offender Registry check form.
2. Return completed forms to:
Pendleton Place Children’s Shelter
Attn: Brandon Blake, Community Outreach Manager
P.O. Box 10323, Greenville, SC 29603
*Please remember to include an $8.00 check (made out to SC DSS) to cover the cost of the processing fee.*
3. Once these forms have been completed, please allow three to four weeks to have them processed by the Department of Social Services and returned to Pendleton Place. Once these forms have been successfully returned to Pendleton Place, our Community Outreach Manager will contact you to schedule a time for you to complete a Volunteer Orientation Session.
4. Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session (approximately one hour). You will have the opportunity to learn more about Pendleton Place and ask any questions you may have.
