From our Volunteers:
“Thank you again for the informative tour and for allowing me the privilege of learning first-hand how much these kids really need our services. I walked away with goose bumps after seeing all the love and care taken to provide these kids with structure and security.” Stacey Finnegan, Pendleton Place Volunteer
“I would encourage people not to wait around until they feel as if they have the extra time, energy, and resources they need to volunteer. The greatest of volunteers give out of sacrifice, rather than abundance.” Jack Fry with UPS, Pendleton Place Volunteer
Please share your volunteer experiences with us! Contact Leslie Whiteside at lwhiteside@pendletonplace.org or 864-467-3650 and let her know how volunteering has a made a difference in your life.
For me, it’s about the children…
Let no child live in poverty.
Let no child go hungry.
Let no child live without shelter.
Let no child remain ill.
Let no child be uneducated.
Let no child be oppressed.
Let no child be unloved.
Children did not ask to come here.
They are innocent, and they are helpless.
It is our moral obligation to help them,
whether they are ours, or not.
Only we can save them…
and only they can save the world.

Children come to Pendleton Place for many different reasons, but all are emotionally traumatized and in need of nurture and support. In addition to our highly trained staff, volunteers enrich our children’s lives by sharing their experiences, skills, and talents. People like you can strengthen our program just by donating a few hours of your time every month. Whether you are participating directly with our children, helping answer telephones or sort donations, or assisting with special events, you are helping to provide a caring and compassionate environment for the children who seek safety here.
There are many ways you can help Pendleton Place as a volunteer. Please look through our Volunteer Opportunities list for additional details. Our goal is to match your talents and interests with the needs of our program in order to create the best experience for both you and our children.
*Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
