Dear Friend of Pendleton Place,
Nonprofit funding has never been predictable. This year seems determined to prove that point. Funding conversations often happen in the abstract, in Excel spreadsheets and pie graphs, but behind every number is a young person building their future with resilience and determination.
Hanna graduated from high school, the first in her family to do it. She had pushed through stigma, doubt, and too many messages telling her what she could not do. Now, she is beginning to believe that possibility belongs to her too.
Joseph completed Homeless Court and kept moving forward. Today, he is working two jobs he is proud of, building stability, and changing the direction of his life one decision at a time.
Jasmine moved into an apartment of her own. After years of living in shared and communal settings, she now has a front door that is hers, a place to come home to, and the opportunity to build the life she deserves.
These moments happen because a young person has a safe place to land. Because people consistently show up. Because support continues through the difficult days, the ordinary days,
and the days worth celebrating. This is the work of Pendleton Place. And we want to create room for more young people to have moments like these.
This year, critical funding we have counted on is changing or coming to an end. Even as the
funding landscape shifts, we are investing in the homes and buildings we already own so we can serve more young people in foster care and young adults facing housing instability.
We could respond to that uncertainty by doing less. We are choosing to meet the need and make room for more.
Your gift helps keep a safe bed available, trusted adults showing up, our homes cared for, and
more space ready for the next young person who needs it.
Help us make room for who comes next. Please donate today.
